MIHR Contemporary Dance Theatre

“Finding new movement in yourself”
The first part of the workshop reveals the freedom of movement and the individuality of every movement. The second part reveals the nuances and melodiousness of music and the perception of melody through body, and all this brings to the level, where the participant, regardless of the level of training and education, can constantly find new movements in her/his own body in the presented music.

“Speaking with bodies”
This component of the workshop has several phases and concentrates on the translation of a text into the language of the body. The first phase has no limitation. In the second phase, participants cannot make movements used in their daily life. The third phase excludes effective movements. With this exercise, the group will come to the final part of this component where the participants will use movements that are generated by their emotions.

“Emotion as an expression”
The workshop reveals the movement of an emotion and the sound of an emotion material that can be built on the creative process by being unified by the imprint of improvisation, which can reveal the uniqueness of each participant’s inner world.
