He graduated in acting at “Luben Groys” Theatre College in the class of prof. Tsvetana Maneva in 2001. His first theatrical roles were in the performances “The Seagull” by Chekhov and “Hamlet” by Shakespeare at the New Drama Theatre “Tear and Laughter”, “The Marriage of Figaro” by Beaumarchais at Small City Theatre “Behind the Canal” and Drama Theatre “Ivan Radoev”-Pleven, “Nightingale” by Shakespeare, “Amok” by Paul Claudel and “Platonov” by Chekhov in NDK-MTI, “The Trial” by Kafka and “Crime and Punishment” by Dostoevsky.

He made his debut on the stage of the National Theatre “Ivan Vazov” in “Romeo and Juliet” by Shakespeare. His most important roles on the stage of the theatre are: Martin in “Mad with Love” by Sam Shepard, The Baron in “Love is No Joke” by Alfred de Musset, Emilia in “Othello” by Shakespeare, Albany in “King Lear” by Shakespeare, Don Alonso in “Don Juan” by Molière, Radoslav in “Beethoven 21” by Konstantin Iliev, Sir Robert Chiltern in “An Ideal Husband” by Oscar Wilde, Felix Stauffner in Arthur Schnitzler’s “The Feast of Bacchus”, Peterboneau in “The Thieves’ Ball”, the Prisoner of War in “The Peach Thief”, Basov in “NEODACHNICI” (based on Maxim Gorky’s “Summerfolk”). Michel Houllier in Yasmina Reza’s “God of Carnage”, Pierre in Florian Zeller’s “The Father. ”

Julian Vergov is one of the iconic faces of new Bulgarian cinema and the most popular Bulgarian TV series.

He was nominated for АSKEER 2019 for the role of Sergei Vasilievich Basov in “NEODACHNICI”.

ASKEER 2022 Award for Supporting Male Actor for the role of Ivan Vazov in “The People of Vazov”.
